A country with a recent past that still weighs heavily, but also a place of majestic rainforests and rich biodiversity of plants and animals.
Our work in Colombia began in 2018 to support the development of rural communities through tree planting, and this month we want to set ourselves a symbolic yet concrete goal: planting 1,000 new trees.
PLANT 2 TREES AND WE’LL GIVE YOU A LIMITED EDITION BANANA TREE!
1,000 new trees to involve around 80 beneficiaries. This is a goal that we, as a community, can reach—and to help make it happen, if you plant 2 trees, we’ll gift you a Limited Edition Banana tree!
Removing every barrier—customary or cultural—so women can lead the growth of their communities. When they have the same space to decide and work, everything changes: economic independence increases, confidence grows, and new opportunities emerge.
In Colombia, as in all our projects, we support pathways that enhance women’s skills and leadership, because social impact is also built by including those who have been left on the margins for too long.
Over the years working in Colombia, we’ve understood that the future of the country’s vast natural heritage depends on rural communities. Strengthening their economic independence, protecting their ability to safeguard the land, and valuing the social role of women is essential—both to prevent exploitation that depletes ecosystems and to offer real alternatives to drug trafficking.
It’s an ambitious challenge that we pursue by planting trees in support of farming communities’ growth.
